Mt.Qixing
Qingtiangang is a scenic lava plateau famous for its expansive pastoral landscapes. Its vibrant green meadows resemble a massive velvet carpet, offering a perfect getaway for weekend excursions. Surrounded by a network of beautiful paths such as the Fish Road, Silk Waterfall, and Shitiling trails, it is an ideal hub for hiking and leisurely nature walks.

Lengshuikeng (Cold Water Pit)
The name “Lengshuikeng” (Cold Water Pit) originates from its hot spring temperature, which averages around $40^\circ\text{C}$—significantly cooler than other high-temperature springs in the area. Another local legend attributes the name to a crystal-clear mountain spring located at the southern foot of Mt. Qigu. Unlike nearby sulfur springs, this water is pure, free of sulfur and iron, and refreshingly cool to the touch. Notable nearby attractions include the Milky Lake, Jingshan Suspension Bridge, and the Lengshuikeng Public Hot Spring Bathhouse.

Juansi Waterfall
Named for its graceful, silk-like flow, this waterfall is a highlight of the Jingshan-Qingtiangang trail. Surrounded by bamboo forests and cooling water channels, it offers a shaded sanctuary perfect for a summer hike. The distinctive landscape is defined by its iron-rich red rocks, which contrast beautifully with the white water and green surroundings. It is a scenic and refreshing stop on the way to the Qingtiangang grasslands.

Zhuzihu (Bamboo Lake)
Nestled in a lush basin between Mt. Datun and Mt. Qixing, Zhuzihu was once a volcanic barrier lake. Today, it has transformed into a picturesque valley of Calla Lily fields and high-altitude vegetable gardens. From February to May, the area comes alive with the Calla Lily Festival.
The roadsides are dotted with rustic restaurants specializing in “mountain-range chicken” and fresh-picked wild greens. It is a favorite spot for visitors to savor local flavors while admiring the mountain scenery. In the summer, enjoying a pot of tea under the cool forest canopy offers a perfectly leisurely escape.

Mt. Shamao
Located within Yangmingshan National Park, Mt. Shamao is a parasitic volcano sitting on the flank of Mt. Qixing. Rising to an elevation of 643 meters, the mountain is named for its distinctive silhouette, which resembles the “Wushamao” (black gauze hat) worn by officials during the Qing Dynasty. Beyond its rich volcanic geology, the area is renowned for its abundant hot springs, drawing visitors year-round to its steaming natural landscapes.

Chung-shan Hall
Upon arriving at the entrance, visitors are greeted by the distinct, unmistakable scent of sulfur. Built in 1966 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s birth, Chung-shan Hall officially opened its doors to the public in November 2006. This historic landmark once served as the meeting place for the National Assembly and a venue for hosting state guests. Today, it remains a site of immense historical significance, offering scheduled guided tours for those wishing to explore its majestic interior.
